A couple of top elite North African clubs have emerged as favourites to secure the services of Uganda Cranes and Vipers Sports Club defender Rogers Torach Ochaki.
In the upcoming 2026/27, Torach remains part and parcel of head coach Denis Lavagne’s plans; as he has engaged in the pre-season and also travelled with the team for the CECAFA Kagame Cup due in Kigali city, Rwanda.
The Venoms have already released long serving center half Livingstone Mulondo with Torach envisaged as the permanent natural able replacement ahead of the domestic season and the CAF Champions League campaign.
For the past two seasons; Torach has had a consistent display.
At his club, Torach has already won back-to-back league titles and one Uganda Cup trophy.
He was skipper for the Uganda Cranes at the 2025 CHAN championship co-hosted by Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda.
Uganda Cranes reached the knock out stage of the competition for the first time ever with Torach scoring a last minute gasp penalty against South Africa during the last group stage encounter that ended 3-all at Mandela National Stadium, Namboole.
Torach was also part of the Uganda Cranes squad during the Total Energies 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) hosted by the Kingdom of Morocco.
He also skippered the Uganda Cubs (U-20) at the 2024 All African Games played in Accra city, Ghana where Uganda played second fiddle to the hosts, with Torach featuring in all the games.
Torach remains tight lipped about the development nor Vipers Sports Club.
Thus far, Vipers has secured the services of Gabonese goalkeeper Loyce Mbaba, Farouk Miya, Nicholas Mwere, Joel Sserunjogi, Jacques Mangoba and Ceaser Lobi Manzoki.
