The 2026 Inter-Forces Games will take place in the Northern Uganda city of Gulu.
Uganda Prisons Service (UPS) is ready to present a formidable team of Taekwondo players, in one of the most demanding combat sports.

Mark Ogwang, a Warder III, leads the team’s cast alongside assistant manager Brenda Masendi, also a Warder III.
The team composition has tried and tested fighters including international fighter and captain Sgt/Warder Paul Angalla, Sgt/Warder Charity Bosco Olung, Cpl/Wdr Simon Boika Komakech, Cpl/Wdr Eddie Newton, Alboho, Cpl/Wdrss Annet Kiiza, Cpl/Wdr Sam Odongo and Cpl/Wdrss Lillian Akello Mwesigwa.

Tough Opponents:
The Prisons fighters face strong opposition from the Uganda Peoples’ Defence Forces (UPDF) and Uganda Police Force (UPF), with the three security agencies having built a strong competitive environment through joint training sessions and exchange programmes.
For Team Prisons, this is more than competition. It is about defending the Prisons badge, demonstrating discipline and skill, and fighting for institutional pride and glory. With domestic competition, joint training and international experience behind them, the fighters head to Gulu focused, prepared and ready to give their best in every bout. Every kick matters. Every punch counts. Every bout is a chance to make Uganda Prisons proud.
