FIFA has officially announced the opening of the volunteer program for the 2027 Women’s World Cup in Brazil. The volunteer program cuts across over 20 functional areas, including Media, Technology, Transport, Competition Management and Ceremonies.
The opportunities are available to both the Brazilian nationals and people from other countries.
“FIFA invites individuals from Brazil and across the globe to become part of the world’s largest women’s sporting event by volunteering at the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027™. Registration is open at FIFAWomensWorldCup.com/volunteers.” Reads a message on the FIFA website.
The volunteering roles cover the tournament in its entirety from airports, stadiums, training venues, hotels and so much more.
Over 6,000 volunteers will be recruited to support the delivery of the tournament across its eight Host Cities: Belo Horizonte, Brasília, Fortaleza, Porto Alegre, Recife, Rio de Janeiro, Salvador and São Paulo.
“Volunteers embody the spirit of every FIFA tournament, sharing their enthusiasm, dedication and love of the game with millions of people around the world,” said FIFA Chief Football Officer Jill Ellis.
“As Brazil prepares to host the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027, we are inviting people from all backgrounds to become part of this extraordinary journey. Volunteering is an opportunity to build friendships across cultures, gain new experiences and contribute to an event that inspires generations. Together, we will deliver a tournament that leaves a meaningful legacy for fans, communities and the volunteers who help bring it to life.”
To apply, volunteers should join or log in to the FIFA Volunteer Community at volunteer.FIFA.com, select the FIFA Women’s World Cup Brazil 2027 tournament, and complete and submit the application form and a short online assessment. As applications will be open for a limited period of time, interested individuals are encouraged to apply as early as possible.
To participate in the selection process, candidates must be: at least 18 years of age at the time of application; a Brazilian national or legally permitted to enter Brazil during the competition; and available to commit to between seven and ten shifts during the tournament’s operational period in June and July 2027.
