HALFTIME: Sudan 1 -0 Rwanda

Sudan’s Salah Ibrahim has used the poacher’s instincts as his strike after 29 minutes has put them in a deserved lead by the half-time of the group C fixture played at the Nairobi based Artificial turf City Stadium.

Rwanda started the half with a counter to the Sudan’s goal as early as the 5th minute when Jacques Tuyisenge’s effort was well saved by Ali Abdelrahman in Sudan’s goal but Sudan steadily garnered momentum that saw one of their efforts hit the bar.

At the half-way mark of the City Stadium artificial turf, Rwanda’s Ismael Nshutiyamagara dill-dullied with the ball and Salah Ibrahim ‘stole’ the ball to beat goalie, Luc Jean in Sudan’s goal posts for the only goal so far.
