Maroons FC claimed the bragging rights in the Armed Forces derby against Police FC on Tuesday evening.
The Prison Warders overcame the Cops 1-0 in the game played at the Luzira Prisons Ground.
Diminutive forward Ivan Mayanja scored the lone goal of the game in the 26th minute to guide the hosts to victory.
The result came as sweet revenge for Maroons FC against Police FC who eliminated them from this year’s Stanbic Uganda Cup at the round of 16.
Victory today took Maroons FC to sixth place on 40 points from 27 games.
Police FC on the other hand remained 12th on the table with 30 points.
