Joshua “Letti” Lubwama is christened as the “Tallest Muganda” for his enviable height.

He is a silent monster of sorts on the football ground, often covering lots of spaces, a swift commander and a great set piece master.

Lubwama grabbed the headlines during URA’s 1-0 victory on the road away to Patongo in the 2026 Stanbic Uganda Cup round of 64 contest in Agago district.

He scored the solitary goal for the tax collectors as they marched to the round of 32 in the competition.

His goal arrived as early as the 6th minute off a well struck volley from skipper Nelson Senkatuka’s corner kick delivery.

It then neceitated solid defending throughout the contest.

Meanwhile, Entebbe Uganda Printing and Publishing Corporation (UPPC) Football Club beat Ombachi Pride 1-0.

Second half substitute Fazil “Chopra” Tumwine scored the lone goal of the goal in a game that was marred by rains.

In Soroti, Kitara made it to the next round with a 1-0 victory over Obule Earth Quake football club.

A 10-man Lugazi overcame Kisugu United 2-1 in Kampala.

In West Nile, Maroons outmuscled Paidha United 2-1 at the Bar Okoro stadium in Zombo district.

Brian Nkuubi Ssemakula and Dickson Niwamanya scored for the visitors.

NEC edged Mabira Town Council 2-0 at the Nyakasanga play ground in Kasese courtesy of Allan Mugalu and Mohammed Kagawa’s second half goals.

Away in Pallisa, Sports Club Villa gritted their teeth to record a 2-1 win over Pallisa Hospital Football Club.

Skipper David Owori and Aslam Ssemakula were on target for Jogoos with a strike in either half.

Police smiled 3-0 past Mayirwe.Umar Kasumba’s penalty set the ball rolling before a brace from Charles Bbaale sealed the victory.

More games are yet to be played at this stage before the focus will switch to the round of 32 draws.
