Wanderers kept their Multiple Industries’ Cricket League title dreams intact after edging Nile by two wickets at Lugogo Oval on Sunday.
The latter won the toss and were all out for 133 with Martin Ondeko hitting 53 off 97.
Brian Masaba added 24 off 34 as Wanderers’ pair Davis Karashani (1/17), Arnold Otwani (3/10) and
Danny Strachan (3/23)bundling them out in 45.3 in overs.
Karashani later stroked 46 off 37 and Otwani added 19 as Wanderers chased the target to reach 136 with two wickets in hand at 36.2. Nile bowlers Masaba (4/27) and Ivan Kakande (2/36) had given Wanderers a torrid second innings as they shared six wickets in the low scoring tie.
“We had loose bowling but we should have won the game” Ondeko told Kawowo Sports.
