With the New York Red Bulls failing to reach the MLS Cup final, the East Coast soccer franchise, is down-sizing it’s playing staff ahead of the new season with several of there players being sold or having their contracts terminated one particular player whose future is unclear is Ugandan central defender Ibrahim Sekagya.

The new Revelation comes in the wake of the club trading veteran central defender Jamison Olave to the Real Salt Lake, for the coming season thus leaving the club without a bonafide center back.

The deal does leave the Red Bulls without a bonafide starter at center back. The status of Ibrahim Sekagya is uncertain, meaning that New York heads into this offseason without a true starting center back on the roster.

Sekagya has been with the MLS side for two season’s having crossed from Red Bull Salzburg, in Austria where he had a successful career on the pitch.
