2015 National Boxing Open:
64 Kg: David Semujju (Boggie) Beat Micho Musalwa (Kakira) – Knock Out
The 2015 National Boxing open championships kicked off on Monday at the MTN Lugogo Indoor Arena.
40 bouts were contested in the different weight categories where over 200 boxers from at least 40 clubs are taking part.
One of the highlights of the opening day was when a boxer, Micho Musalwa of Kakira Boxing club was unlucky to land a killer punch from Boggie Boxing club’s David Semujju.
East Coast’s Bashir Nasir suffered a shocker – getting knocked down just after 10 seconds into the game as Sakku’s Jamil Ddungu’s lucky punch landed straight onto the face on the latter in the 56 kg’s category.

Reigning Uganda Sports Press Association (USPA) boxer of the year, Fazil Juma Kaggwa of East Coast kick started in clinical defeating Police’s Medi Nsubuga by a technical knock out in the 49 kg’s event.
Day two of the open organized by Uganda Boxing Federation and sponsored by Haris International resumes on Tuesday.

The open will climax over the weekend with the excelling boxers expected to make the national team, The Bombers.
