Rams 00-43 Heathens

Heathens clinched their second win of the season with no single try, drop goal nor penalty conceded as they thrashed Rams at Makerere Rugby Grounds on Saturday.

The Kyadondo based side needed 5 tries from Alex Mubiru, Micheal Wokorach, Asuman Mugerwa, Tomusange Charles and Dennis Tialata to win their second of the season.

Phillip Wokorach ran in 14 points off the tee, with two penalties and two conversions, Seguya’s boys showing their worth infront of the home crowd.

Phillip opened the scores in the first half with with a penalty, prolific Alex Mubiru touching off a scrum in the Rams final quarter.

Ram’s rough and tough approach gave the visitors a story to tell but all was to be forgotten after Michael Wokorach broke through to sprint in the flanks beating three men to touch softly in between the uprights.

Phillip’s conversion rate could not be matched, as he made more five points, the conversion and penalty early in the second term.

Asuman Mugerwa got his moment too when he made a ‘catch me if you can’ run from the centre to the white chalk amid loud cheers from the fans.

He doubled his try tally touching again from a maul before pre-season sensation Aaron Ofwoirwoth spurred the team to widen the score gap.

The former Buffaloes man split the daring Rams back line in one sidestep, offloading to Tomusange Charles who crashed over for their fourth.

Replacement Dennis Tialata sealed the win with Heathen’s fifth try as the outfit marked another outing without any point conceded.
