Uganda Cranes forward, Faruku Miya has been officially unveiled at Belgian club Standard Liege F.C on Friday.
The Ugandan forward traveled to Belgium on Thursday evening. Upon arrival on Friday, he was officially ushered into the Belgian club.
He was given shirt 15 and introduced before the media.
Miya has been an influential member for club (Vipers) and country in the past 12 months, scoring crucial goals and creating assists.
For the incredible form, he earned the Ugandan footballer of the year 2015/16 gong as well as the most valuable player of the year accolade after the domestic season of the local league.
He is expected to feature at Leige for six months before being engaged in fresh contract talks.
Miya was seen off by the Consular and administrative officer at the Belgian embassy in Uganda, John Thome.
The Ugandan joins former Manchester United goalkeeper Victor Valdes who joined from the English Premier league side during the January transfer window.
