Sixty days after naming George Lutalo as their head coach, Soana have parted company with him following an abysmal performance.

Lutalo replaced Sam Ssimbwa on January 4 after the latter left for Kenya Premier League side, Sofapaka.

Under Lutalo, formerly with bottom placed JMC Hippos, Soana have won none of their three league games in the second round and also bowed out of the Uganda Cup at the round of 32.

Soana have drawn 1-1 against Bright Stars and Kirinya Jinja SS and only lost 2-1 to Police in the league but they also got eliminated at the round of 32 in the Uganda Cup at the hands of title holders, Vipers.

With 18 games, Soana are placed 6th on the 16 team Uganda Premier League table with 25 points.

Sacked coaches so far

A number of coaches have lost their jobs with Lutalo joining Shafik Bisaso and Deo Sserwadda (SC Villa), Alex Gitta and Wasswa Bbosa (Express), Kefa Kisala (URA), Abdallah Mubiru (Vipers) and Charles Ayeikoh (Soana) among others.
