Due to lack of time last year the knockout stages of the T20 league were moved to the new year and teams are grappling with raising numbers.
KICC perennial T20 semifinalists will be taking on Division 3 champions Kampala Pirates. KICC together with Challengers are the only 2 unbeaten teams in the T20 league.
KICC will come as favorites in this game because of the superiority in personnel but T20 is always any ones game.
KICC captain Hanumant Kathkar will be looking at the national team trio of Frank Nsubuga, Davis Karashani and Zephaniah Arinaitwe for inspiration plus the returning wicketkeeper batsman Arthur Ziraba.
The expatriate team of Kampala Pirates will need their run machine Joshua Mwanja to be in top form as they will be looking ahead of the upcoming Division 2 season. Pirates captain Johan will be hoping to have a full team to pick from given that its very early in the season.
This should be a very good opening game for the fans in 2018.
