Kampala Queens FC have on Tuesday been crowned Champions of the FUFA Women Super League at Phillip Omondi Stadium, Lugogo.

In what was the final game of the season, the Queens of Soccer played out a one-all draw against She Maroons in a closely contested game.

Shamirah Nalugya had fired the hosts into the lead, tucking home from the spot midway through the first half but the Prison Sentries were able to salvage a point, scoring through Phionah Atono after recess.

Kampala Queens, under the stewardship of Ethiopian coach Asefa Firew Hailegebreal had already clinched the title two weeks ago with three games to spare.

Therefore, today was just a matter of crowning the Champions and the season coming to an end officially.

Nalugya was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) while Lady Doves FC midfielder Resty Kobusobozi emerged as the top scorer with 17 goals.

The Fair Play Award went to Lady Doves while Daisy Nakaziro was named the goalkeeper of the season.
