NEC FC officially unveiled Mustafa Kizza as their new player signing a two-year contract.

The left back was unveiled moments before the club faced South Sudan’s Al Merriekh Bentiu in a trial match at YES Centre, Nsambya on Wednesday.

The game ended in a goalless draw with either side missing some good chances although the visitors were slightly the better side.

Kizza has previously featured for KCCA and Express in the premier league and Montreal Impact in United States.

He impressed in the game whipping in his trade mark crosses and defended with steel.

Other new signings

There was also appearance in the game for other new players with Titus Ssematimba signed from Kitara partnering with Allan Mugalu in the middle alongside Daniel Shabena, another new signing from Express FC.

Youngsters Charles Waibi and Joseph Sseremba from Kigezi Home Boyz were second half substitutes and showed glimpses of the energy and skill they bring to the team.

Centre forward Hudson Mbalire also featured as a second half substitutes and gave the team a different dimension to what Emmanuel Ajo had on the first stanza.

NEC will represent Uganda in the CAF Confederation Cup this season after finishing as runners up to league and cup double winners Vipers last season.
