Ntugasaze Football Club became the latest side in the 2025-26 FUFA Big League to be promoted to the highest-tier football division in the country, the Uganda Premier League.
This followed a hard-fought 2-1 home victory over Bunyaruguru United.
James Jarieko notched a brace for Ntugasaze, who attained 50 points, good enough to seal the tier league promotional slot.
Barack Bwanaheri scored the consolation for Bunyaruguru United.
Ntugasaze thus joins the earlier two confirmed sides Blacks Power and Kigezi Home Boyz.
The fourth slot will be fought for by Paidha Black Angels or Kataka.
Kataka beat visiting Kigezi Home Boyz 2-0, whilst already promoted Blacks Power hammered the hapless Mbale Heroes 4-0 at the Ebenezar University playground.
Emmanuel Jonan Oketch, Elias Paul Emokori, Isaac Okello, and Joshua Omara scored for Blacks Power, who now lead with 54 points, three better than Kigezi Home Boyz.
Iganga United condemned Nebbi Central 3-0. Rogers Maganda, Erick Wazuzibu, and Allahmine scored the goals.
The relegation battle remains stiff with at least 7 clubs involved in the brave fight coming on the last day.
The final set of games will be played this Saturday, 30th May 2026, at various grounds.
