Kizito has featured 39 times for the Glovers in his first year in Somerset and was thankful for the help boss Darren Way and assistant Terry Skiverton have given him since his arrival.

He told the club website;

I am very delighted to sign my new deal.

I can’t wait to join up with the boys in pre-season and crack on next year.

The gaffer was a massive influence and Terry was as well.

I worked a lot with Terry last season and improved a lot so I’m looking forward to working with both of them again.

Former Southampton Academy product Mugabi made his professional debut in the EFL Cup against Walsall last August before marking the likes of Romelu Lukaku and Yannick Bolasie in the second round only weeks later.

Yeovil boss Darren, as quoted by the BBC saluted Mugabi’s bold move to the club that has impacted a great deal in personal development;

Bevis made a huge sacrifice in joining Yeovil Town from Southampton last season.

But the experiences he’s gained at Yeovil has been a huge part of the progress in his footballing career.

He has previously played at the Fulham under age teams and Southampton.

While at the Fulham junior ranks, he was put on the standby list of the England U-18 squad although he missed the chance due to a nagging knee injury.

Mugabi was summoned to the Uganda Cranes team last year but the club held onto him sighting a busy domestic fixture.
