After recording two consecutive victories over Express and BUL, Masavu will eye a rare third successive win of the season.

Prior to the two victories, Masavu had looked out of sorts, were disgruntled and all signs indicated that they were sure relegation candidates without a question.

Head coach Joseph Mutyaba and his immediate assistant Alex Gitta thus sought for quick working solutions and remedies.

Definitely, one of them called for an overwhelming change in heart of the players.

On Tuesday evening, Masavu visits the intimidating Champions Stadium in Mwererwe to face one of the season’s revelations, Bright Stars.

The two sides faced off in the pre-season at Luzira, and shared the spoils in a one all draw.

Come to the league proper, Masavu is fresh from two successive victories against Express at Wankulukuku (2-1) and the first home win of the season (1-0 against BUL).

Mutyaba and Gitta are expected to named more or less the same side that started against BUL since there are no fresh injury concerns.

This means, Mansoor Mutumba will start in goal ahead of Ali Kiggundu and Hussein Mulawa.

Ibrahim Pengere could start at right back, the prefered choice ahead of Philly Lutaaya and Moses Kiggundu.

Veteran Sande Mukiibi could start ahead of the diminutive though effective Ibrahim Magadah and Sulaiman Ochero with Brian Nsubuga at center back.

A compacted midfield that has Veron Ddamba, Ddumba Sadala, Onesmas Andama, Fred Umony and Sulaiman Muttah is anticipated.

Up front prodigal son and captain Abraham Ndugwa will surely lead the line with the returning Charles Odeke given a run in at some stage of the game.

“We have picked the rhythm and there is no setting back” Gitta told the media in the aftermath.

Fred Kajoba and his partner in crime Paul Kiwanuka will name a formidable Bright Stars starting eleven as usual.

For a side that fell in their immediate past match, 1-0 away to Sports Club Villa Jogoo in Masaka, there is urgent need to rebuild and restore the confidence.

Veteran goalkeeper Hamza Muwonge will surely take the number one slot in the goal posts.

Andrew Kaggwa, Farouk Banga, former Masavu left back Hakim Ssekitto, Sula Ssebunza will be some of the defensive minded players to be used.

Fast improving midfielder Brian Enzama, born and rised in Entebbe comes face to face with a club that comes from his place of birth.

Methiodious Jjungu will optimally take upon the opportunity of passing under minimal spaces, a feat he best thrives upon.

Meanwhile, the radical Jimmy ‘Kachanga’ Kakooza is expected to give hard tackling Muttah a great run of his money.

Team skipper and the league current lead striker Nelson Senkatuka will have the full onus for leadership and the goal quest for team Masavu.

The match will be officiated by Robert Donney.

After 11 games, Masavu is 14th with 10 points as Bright Stars is 6th on 17 points, just three shy of the leaders, Police.
