Police further condemned newly promoted Kitara to more misery with a 4-1 drubbing at the MTN Omondi Stadium in Lugogo, Kampala.

Towering forward Ben Ocen scored twice with the stylish midfielder Frank “Zagga” Tumwesigye and defender Hassan Muhammod adding the other two goals.

Patrick Kusemererwa pulled a goal back for Kitara that was a mere consolation.

Police took command of the game as early as the third minute through Ocen.

Ocen doubled the scores with the second goal two minutes later.

Tumwesigye headed home Muwadda Mawejje’s cross for the third goal on 19 minutes,

Muhammod made it four with less than 10 minutes to the climax of the opening stanza as the first half ended one sided, 4-0.

Kusemererwa found the consolation in the 53rd minute as Kitara improved their performance in the second half.

Police returned to the top four with their 10th win in 19 matches as they now have 34 points, 9 off the table leaders Vipers.

For Kitara, it was yet another bad day at office, falling in their 16th game out of the 19 matches played.

The Kabalega Boys have managed one win and two draws since being promoted from the second division.

Wakiso Giants held the reigning champions Vipers to a goal-less draw at the St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.

BUL edged UPDF 4-3 at the Kyabazinga stadium, Jinja, Soltilo Bright Stars recovered from a goal down to beat Express 2-1 at Kavumba and Onduparaka fell at home, 2-3 to visiting MYDA in Arua city.

MYDA ended the game with 10 men following a red card to Brandy Lojum in the 77th minute.
